Battlefield Post 214 and its auxiliary units provide assistance for veterans in Northwest Georgia. They also assist in helping the community. Projects and services include:
- Helping veterans financially, physically and emotionally. This includes connecting them to other resources in Georgia and Tennessee.
- Battlefield Post 214 does offer a private TeleHealth room with secure computer and internet access to speak with the VA for veterans who are working on any medical claim that is needed. Financing Battlefield Post 214’s Projects and Services
Most of Battlefield Post 214’s services are provided through volunteer labor, and through proceeds from weekly Bingo nights, gun shows, car shows, quarterly auctions, dances, facility rental, and donations.
Grant Funding Sought:
The Post’s facilities at Park City Road need improvement and maintenance. Battlefield Post 214 also seeks to increase community involvement. Potential projects include:
- Energy efficiency work, including HVAC
- Parking lot and disabled parking improvements
- Food pantry storage improvements
- Supporting local youth organizations
- Marketing / community relations
- Helping veterans and seniors in NW Georgia
Battlefield Post 214 is actively seeking grant funding to make these improvements and to expand the Post’s reach, to better serve veterans, senior citizens and others in Northwest Georgia and the Greater Chattanooga area.
